IC Habitat Break Trips!
Every year, Ithaca College’s Habitat for Humanity picks three different locations for winter break trips where members can spend the week before the start of the spring semester building, learning more about Habitat and getting a break from the cold by trekking down South or out West. During spring break, we also coordinate at least one trip, contacting different affiliates year to year from all over the country in an attempt to find places where our organization will make the biggest impact and difference.
Through fundraising during the academic year, we try to keep the cost of these trips to a minimum. The cost usually is between $100 and $150, which includes meals, transportation and a place to stay for the week.
These trips are a lot of fun! You get to know new people within the Ithaca College community and also get to help work toward a great cause! We’re really excited about planning the trips this year, so listen up for announcements and updates online and during our weekly meetings.
If you have specific questions about break trips, contact this year’s Break Trip Coordinator, Emily Holland, at [email protected].
